I stare out at the rain
Everything is quiet
There's no one around anymore
I am broken
Tired and weary beyond my years
Shed so many tears
Somehow I've lived through the heartache
But I wonder

Whatever happened to the old times?
Childish innocence
Care-free happiness and joy
Fighting pirates and swimming with mermaids
Flying off to Never-Neverland
To play with fairies and lost boys
Whatever happened to me?
I look at myself and cringe
How could I change into what I've become?
Swore I'd never grow up
Swore I'd never change
Promises easily broken
Vows never kept
Why do things change
And I wonder

Sometimes life overwhelms you
Shocks and surprises you
Life is always cruel

We're all adults, right?
I wanna go back to Neverland
