What we hope you can expect...

Grace Biltmore has a come-as-you-are, honest atmosphere where people are allowed to be in process and exploring and growing in understanding the Gospel.

You Can expect

Changed attitudes and hearts
We grow in the likeness of Jesus through the continual application of the Gospel to our lives. The Gospel frees us from false worship of ourselves or pretense in order to worship God in sincerity.

Joy
Set free by the Gospel from self-righteousness and/or condemnation, we are able to enjoy God fully.

Pointing Outward
The Gospel frees us from approval seeking and pride while it encourages authenticity and the quality of love that leads others toward Jesus.

Transforming Culture
By lovingly engaging the questions and concerns of the surrounding culture, instead of angrily shouting, the Gospel gives us hope and hearts for the city.

Breaking down walls and hearts for others
Through the recognition of fellow wounded hearts, out of brokenness, we reach toward others who are different in genuine reconciliation, healing and hope.

"It's never been done that way before."

So let's do it!

Few things destroy vision and passion for ministry quicker than the "It's never been done that way before" way of thinking. This manner of thinking can often be found in the inner power centers of churches in which the "doctrine of the status quo" has become the prime directive.

The great excitement of church planting is that there is no baggage of such thinking killing the ideas and venturesome spirit of our people. We highly value creativity, flexibility, risk-taking and innovation. The down side is, we run the risk of making mistakes, or not doing everything right ("in decency and order" in Presbyterian lingo).

The up side of innovation, risk-taking and sometimes making mistakes, is continually learning lessons of repentance and dependence and applying the Gospel to our lives. It keeps us closer to the vine ... helps inoculate us against traditionalism, legalism, absolutism, spiritual pride and other church viruses.
